Dash AC not blowing cold air

Recharging dash AC - 2002 Intrigue ISL370. Would appreciate any tips or directions on recharging the dash AC ... location of fill port, procedure, etc. Blower is working, but no cool air. Any fuses to look for?
Thanks Steve B #11382

The same as most vehicle AC systems, except the refrigerant volume is larger due to the lengths of the hoses.  Yes, there is a fuse for the compressor clutch.  The evacuation and charge connections are in the front, under the little hood on the passenger side, on our 2005 Inspire.  I would expect that is fairly standard location.

Hi Dale, I just worked with my trusted trucking show who taught me about my AC system one a 2007 CC Inspire 360.  It has a filter / accumulator deep under the coach that needed to be repaced and an actuator valve behind the dash accessible by sliding the generator out.

I did the actuator valve removal my self.  Since it was never service the connections were very tight.  I was told they should have been.  It is quite tricky and sensitive since the leads coming out the blower box are copper or aluminum.  So I had to take great care by using two wrenches on it so as to not bend or break the copper tubes.  My actuator valve has a 4 wire high & low shutoff switch on top of the filter.  Parts are on order by matching them up at a qualified parts store.

Taking out the existing filter was even more tricky, I had to cut and access panel in the front of the coach for future access.  Or youll need to jack and support the coach with heavy duty ram jacks (for safety). Due to corrosion, I destroyed one of the hose ends.  (Not to worry, as my shop was able to make a new short extension piece for reinstallation of the new filter.

My system held most of the freon for a year, so we settled on replacing these two parts.  I used a compressor to blow throught the lines from the back of the compressor.  I accessed the top of the AC unit from the panel on the floor under the master bed in the rear of the coach.

The AC filter was quite dirty a definately needed replacing.

Hope this helps.
