Roof Question?

Yahoo Message Number: 9369
Let me ask this question a different way.

Does anyone know if there roof feels loose? Pushing on the roof one can feel that the top layer is not bonded to the rest of the roof. It is tight near roof mounted things like A/C and antennas

I was told this was designed this way, not a problem. I'm not so sure any longer!
Any Help?

I have a Magna 2000, and my roof feels pretty much like you describe yours does. It kinda "floats".

Yes, mine does that. The first time I got up there it was a bit strange. If mine was bonded, the bond let go a long time ago.

When I visited CC at JC last fall I brought up the looseness of the roof and was told that it was normal. The roof needs to flex as it expands and contracts with heat and freezing temps. That does make sense and I have not worried about it since. Mike 2000 Allure #30493 with 98 CRV toad. Getting ready to leave southern CA and head east to NYS and Nova Scotia for the summer.

Hi all, what a beautiful day! In answer to the question regarding the roof: yes it floats. Our Magna and Affinities are and were that way. The first time I walked on the floating roof I was sure there had to be a problem, but I was assured by CC that it was that way by design. Have a good day, Dale Hollick 05 Affinity 6370

Thanks to ALL !! I have had this coach only a couple of months and have been plagued with nit-noid problems and was fearful I had discovered a BIG problem. Seems this is a normal condition and I will move on. Thanks for putting my mine at easy, Larry '99 Affinity
