Wipers and dust

It's not hi tec, but for non fold wiper arms, I use a spring clothes line pin, and clip it on the arm towards the glass when cleaning.
Cheap fix. Works good when storing too.

One more thought about over running fans, the low coolant temps it creates, fakes out the engine computer, which keeps things in warm up mode. We spend a month or so in Quartzite every winter boondocking, and I watch the dusters come in and leave. Not all are CC's, Amercian seems to have the problem too. When I talk to dusting owners, most think its a baffle problem, or it's just the way it works. I have given up, and now just watch, from up wind.
