M&G Engineering Braking System

I am going to install this braking system this weekend. Anyone out there got any advise (ie: lessons learned) regarding the installation? It looks fairly straight forward, but one never knows.

You should have no surprises. We have had no problems with ours and are completely happy with performance and the ease of hooking up, etc. Just enjoy!!!!

Mike, the system is trouble-free and easy to hook up. The only suggestion I have is to ask them to put your hose coupling on the side of your toad opposite where the electrical hookup is located. It gets a little crowded when on the same side like mine. One other suggestion, if your toad is relatively new go ahead and buy the breakaway feature. I will certainly add that when I replace my Jeep.

A couple of considerations. The most critical part of the installation is the adjustment of the two threaded contact points--one in each end of the M&G cylinder. They must be very close to the actuator on the vacuum boost on one end and the master cylinder on the other. Take your time fitting and adjusting these items . Do it serveral times to make sure you get it just right. There should be some play (space) between the adjusting screws and their respective contacts but just a little. Also, if you are installing the breakaway the critical item here is the actuating lanyard. Don't let it loop below your tow bar. It may catch road trash as I did once. It cost be four new discs and brake pads all around. I like to use a flex line (somewhat like a telephone cord) rather than a hard wire cable.
It keeps everything up and out of the way.
