Tire Pressure settings DO make the ride better! Thanks...

Thanks to those of you (can't find the message) who indicated that our "wandering" on our new Intrigue might be eliminated by correctly setting the tire pressures. We finally weighed the coach this weekend (we had been reluctant to do that until the end of June when ALL our stuff will be on board) and found that the factory tire pressures were way too high for the current weight, so we let a LOT of air out of the tires and found a huge difference in handling. By the way, the Toyo folks were great in helping this "newbie" make sure we were doing it all right. Now we're riding 85 in the rear, and 90 on the front which is helping the handling. At the end of June we'll reweigh and redo the tire pressures, but for now, it seems pretty good compared with how it had been. Thanks for all the help folks...this is great! By the way, just sold the house and should be retired and fulltiming (if all goes well) by the end of June! America, here we come! Jan

We had a severe wandering problem in our new '99 Intrigue that turned out to be caused by an incorrect ride height adjustment. If the rear ride height is low the front end will tend to "get light" under certain circumstances and produce a significant wandering effect.
The ride height specs. are in your Owner's Manual and are quite easy to check for yourself.

Jim, thanks...that sounds like an "intermediate Owner" step (to check for ride height) but I'm game...shall attempt it this weekend. RV is at Cummins today for the compressor recall....hope to have it back by the weekend. Thanks for the help...Jan
