HWH Leveler Valve

I had the Right Rear Height control valve go bad last month. Had Olinger's in Porltand do the work on my DFS Repair Insurance. They charged the insurance company $361 for the valve + 3.5 hours install labor. I just got a price quote from local Kenworth Truck dealer for same exact valve for $59.00.. Somebody is getting Ripped off.. I've let Olinger's know about pricing difference and am thinking about letting insurance company know what's happening. I'm problably going to buy extra vale to carry with me.....

1casebeer,

Since I have removed & reinstalled a right rear control valve I will tell you that you definitely got ripped off. An hour for the replacement & checking ride height is adequate.

Ray,

I have had an overtemp light come on, and the techs have found the hyd fan to be bad, and not the controller. The fan was not reaching full speed and was found to have an internal failure.
I have also had ride height value failure the left rear failed so I had all 3 valves replaced, I do not have the bill with me but I think the total labor was 1.5 hours for all 3 valves plus doing the adjustments.

Gee, that is beginning to sound a lot like medical insurance. Higher charges, because they know that they can get by with it, and then higher premiums. Years ago I bought a Tens unit for severe back pains ans since I was paying cash for it only $300 but if I had had insurance the Doc would have charged to insurance co. $650.
