Searching for 32 ft. CC

I have a friend who is looking to purchase a 32 ft. Country Coach. I suggested RVTrader.com. Does anybody know of one in the $100K price range.

Does anyone know if the steel rims on a 99 Intrigue are standard truck rims? I want to carry a spare tire due to the fact that the tire size is very difficult to find.

I had the tire only (it was still bound in the shipping paper). The thinking

as told to me by the truck tire shop was I was not going to deal with a tire of that size myself. Any truck tire road service truck (contract truck)

would have equipment to remove and remount the tire.
I never had to test that thinking. Sold the tire (at my cost) to a fellow CC'er

that needed it a lot more than I did. Never did replaced it, was glad to get the storage space back!

What would the difference be??? I have switched front tires to back rims with no problems. If the rims are different, would not the tires be different also? With that in mind we would be running 6 diffrent rims with 6 different tires. I don't think so.
When I got four new tires last summer, they were all the same tires. Had the two fronts with two new tires put on the back and two new tires put on the back. I have the Alcoa wheels so the fronts had to be dismounted and mounted on inside steel rims on the back.

And yes, the tires are the same (I think that's what I tried to say in my post) that's why the truck tire guy said to get just a tire as a spare. He said my wheels were different, maybe he was talking about the Alcoa and steel. "I" assumed they were a different shape . In any case I agreeded with him about changing the tire on the road, (I'm not going to do it!!!).

To my way of thinking. Rim = wheel and wheel = rim.

If you don't have road service, I would highly reccomend getting it. I use Coach Net and have been pleased with it, although have only used it once with the Allure.

Would you friend be interested in a 36foot 2000 Allure with one slide? The wheelbase to length ratio is much better with the 36footer and handles much better then the 32 footer. email me personally if interested at rvmike@....

I've been down this road, recently. The rims (steel and aluminum) are basically the same. Same tire used on both. Carry only a tire. Carrying a rim is just dead weight. Without the correct air tools you couldn't even break loose the lugs. I think the torque spec on the lugs is 425 ft-lbs (and that is really tight). The road service mechanic can R&R that tire faster than you can even imagine. I have Progressive insurance and the road service is included. They were very helpful when I had a problem. Highly recommended. Best rate I could find too.

I had no intention of trying to change the tire, but Coach Net and other road service companies will only pay to have your inflated spare mounted. I understand your concern about the additional weight for the rim.
I have never had a tire problem and hope that I won't, but I am going to replace all of my tires within the next two weeks.

My coach has the 275.70/22.5 tires and that size is difficult to find and not used in many applications.
I live in the Washington DC suburbs and there are no Toyo dealers within a 150 mile radius that has that size tire in stock. In fact, I just order four Toyos and it will take 4-6 days for them to be delivered to the dealer. I have also been told by multiple tire dealers that if I have a flat on the road it could take a week to have a tire shipped from a Toyo warehouse. I would have switched to another brand, but CC gave me two new Toyos as a result of a recall a year so ago that I did not get notified about until late last year. I want to use those tires and did not want to mix brands.

Gene: Recalling our blowout in Mexico (metric system) a few years ago and before traveling thru Canada (also metric) to Alaska, we bought a used, matching 12R 22.5 Toyo without wheel from Schwab, JC for $150. Having a specific size tire shipped to Mexico or Canada is time + cost prohibitive.

The tire sits on (2) 6"W x 9"H x 21"L platforms made from 1"x 6" and covered with gray bin felt in the 3rd bin on pass. side....made at CC/ JC for $157. To us, the $307 is cheap peace-of-mind Ins.
That bin also has a 1/2 storage slider (opens to driver side) which glides beneath the tire for minimal loss of storage space. The tire sits inboard on the pass. side, leaving room for Costco plastic storage box plus our BBQ. On another MH, Good Sam ERS dispatched a mobile truck with compressor to us for tire replacement. We've not had tire probs since covered with Coach Net.
