Dash Air Conditioning - 1998 Magna

Yahoo Message Number: 401
On a recent trip back fro AZ to PA my dash air would periodically cut out (no fan, no cooling) then after a shoprt time it would come back on. Thia happened a number of times. Has anyone had a like experience with their rig? I've not queried Country Coach service yet but will raise the question at the Aug. Homecoming.

There is a thermal circuit breaker on the fan. Either the breaker could be bad, or theres too much on the circuit.
I had the same problem (right from the factory) I tried putting larger, non thermal fuses in for a while but occasionally they would blow. Finally a technician put in a new circuit just for the fan and that cured the problem. I never could get a straight answer from CC on this and had to figure it out for myself.
At first I thought maybe one of the fans was failing and pulling too much current, but that wasnt it and the new circuit took care of the problem.

The breaker is in the fuse box in the outside compartment on the driver seat side.

You'll have to look at the wiring diagram to see which number it is. Its a breaker ..

not a fuse (automatically resets itself after it cools...which accounts for the fans going
on and off )
