Allison 3000MH maintenance

Yahoo Message Number: 11293
The Allison 3000MH transmission comes in two models - one with a 2" sump and one with a 4" sump. Does anyone know for sure which model Country Coach used in the 2003 Intrigue with the Cummins 400 engine?

I know the deeper sump takes nearly double the TRANSYND fluid and their are two different size filter sets. Does anyone know which filter numbers I should buy? I hesitate to remove the old filters and find out I have the wrong replacements.

Any accurate information is appreciated.

Bob,

I don't know the answer, but I had the same issue. I just measured mine with a rule, bought the appropriate filter kit, and everything fit just fine. The sump is an aluminum casting which is a separate piece from the transmission housing, making it is easy to determine if it is a 2" or 4". Mine has the 2" sump.

I called Allison. The latest information for maintenance of Allison transmissions can be found on their web site at:
http://www.allisontransmission.com/servlet/DownloadOnDemand? ApplicationID=155&DownloadID=5

According to Allison, this information supercedes the information in the manual that came with my Country Coach. It contains the very latest information including new filter numbers and service intervals.

The link should work. It did for me, but you have to cut and paste as it is in two pieces.
