Feedback on older Country Coach vs Foretravel

My husband and I are looking for an older Country Coach or Foretravel around 1989-1991 36' to 38', diesel. I have been watching Ebay and other RV web sites and those years fits my budget. Any opinions as to ease of handling, fatique factor, etc. on either of these coaches? We have owned a 1986 Country Coach gas 32' that I loved. I really liked the large kitchen and overall quality of the Country Coach.
Also, any preferences on the older diesel: Cummins vs Detroit vs Cat?
Any comments or experiences from owners of these older coaches would be greatly appreciated.
