Having to add fluid to radiator.

On the recent post indicating a low fluid level in addition to battery problems, had the same problem until I discovered the cap was only one designed for 7 pounds. Replaced it with a 20, maybe a little high, but have not added any fluid in the past 4,000 miles of high temperture driving, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. John 2002 Allure

My Cummins ISC came with a #15. During a repair two years ago, which I won't go into, the mechanic put a #10 cap on as that is all they had. I made the full 3000 mile trip through the mountians. He calimed I wouldn't have a problem and I didn't. I suspect less than ten would be marginal because there is a spring that establishes the rating of the cap and it probably has a %20 tolerance.
