Rick's House Batteries

Hi Rick,

Good luck with the coach. Your house batteries obviously need to be replaced. If all you are running is your refrigerator, the batteries should hold for five days. Your refrigerator although on gas, needs 12 volts to operate, and you will have to reprogram your back up monitor due to the loss of power. Your engine will charge your house batteries while running, as will the charge side of the inverter while running the generator.

If you look at previous posts, you will see that owners use 8D wet cells, 8D AGM, and 6 volt golf cart batteries. For my needs, I like the 8D AGM batteries.

If you do not have one now, I would add the Xantrex inverter panel in place of the inverter on/off switch.
You can't get your coach close to a 110V outlet??
