Periodically I see that people are having trouble with their Motosat systems. I surely feel their pain. But after working through the issue we encountered, I can say that we would not be full-timing with as much enjoyment as we have without our Motosat connection. yes, the number of wireless installations is increasing, and yes the day will come (sometime in the future) when wireless connections will be readily available ALMOST anywhere. But that day is still in the distant future. In the meantime, having a Motosat provides us with much enrichment during our travels, as we cannot carry enough books to provide information about the many places we visit. Having said that, should you decide to get a Motosat, ensure that you get a reputable dealer to do your installation. Our dealer, Bill Adams, carried us through the "dark days" when the system was problematic.
But now it works like a charm and seldom causes us the slightest problem. If you think that Motosat and Direcway will provide the technical support needed to get you over the hump, however, you will be very disappointed.

Scott,

Glen did post a message on DatastormUsers.com. Within an hour Bill Adams responded to help. The next hour Don Bradner, the forum founder, responded. Both asked for more information on his setup, expecially what satellite he was on, and told him how to obtain the information. Glen never responded.

Barry,

I just did. With traveling and sightseeing ventures, it has been hard for me to connect with Moto-Sat and Ground Control to find the information that you all wanted. I just posted that info here for Bill Adams.

Barry, you just hit on one of the problems, if you can't get online, you can't visit the Datastormusers.com message board and ask for help! Once you establish a relationship with someone like Bill Adams, you can communicate via phone for help.
