Transmission service

I just had my tranny serviced at an authorized Allison facility. It has been about four years since I had this done on a previous coach ( the initial svc. on my present coach was done as pat of dealer prep ) and I seem to remember a charge of about $ 240 at the same facility.
Yesterday I was charged $ 312 including $ 160-labor, $ 120 parts and oil and the rest local taxes. Is this about in line with what the rest of you are paying?

My initial service was a couple of years ago and was $224 ($80 parts & $120 labor plus junk fees).

This is a 30min job for any competant shop. $160 for labor is excessive to say the least!

Just had mine serviced but not at a Allison dealer. Cost was $173.80; $90 labor and $83.80 for parts.

Last time I had my trans serviced, they recommended I use Synthetic and have been using it now for about two Years. The Allison guys strongly recommend it and a local mech that I have confidence in, indicated that I should use Synthetic in all my engines and transmissions. Cars, Motorhome and boats.
