After two years research my wife and I ordered a 05 Allure from Lazydays in Tampa, Fl. The coach is to arrive today or tomorrow. We are to take delivery next week with 3-4 days spent at Lazydays hopefully learning the systems and checking out the coach for problems. I hope it is a good experience. Lazydays claims to be the best thing since Chevrolet and apple pie. So far our experience has been good especially with the CC Rep they have on premises.
After that we head to Ocala for two days of one on one driving lessons. I am a little apprehensive as to where the coach cannot go, and believe this school may help.
Since we were always interested in CC products, I have read many posts from this group . Most members seem to be very helpful to new members answering newbie questions. We are looking forward to becoming a member and talking about our common interest in motohoming and CC.

Question: "Extended Warranty of Florida" - Has anyone purchased this extended warranty Lazdays sells? I've heard soo much negative about these companies in general. We will have to decide whether to buy or not when we sign papers next week at I believe a sizable amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Regarding extended warranty products:
We purchased an extended warranty on an auto via the internet (Warrantee Gold) about 18 months ago, and even before the policy had gone into effect the company went bankrupt. Need I tell you about the money we spent on it???

Thankfully, my clever wife remembered that we had paid for the "product" with our VISA card. So, taking advantage of all the hype the credit card companies advertise, we filed a claim and lo and behold - the credit card company credited our account with the entire amount we had spent (and therefore lost) on the warranty. Caulk one up for my wife!
I generally believe in extended warranty and will "shop" for one when our new Magna is delivered. However, the lesson we learned is 1.) Don't buy via the internet from a company you've never heard of no matter how great they sound and 2.) purchase from a reputable dealer - like Guaranty RV or Lazy Days - who can go to bat for you should something happen.
I recently posted a question to the group about the recent Good Sam offer.
I hope someone responds.
Tom
