I could not even see the valve stem for the inside dual. I sat on a picnic bench and looked thru every hole in the outside wheel. I also assumed you had to crawl around underneath to find it.

It does have smart tire, but I still would like to add air on the road if necessary. I have done this many times with the Dutch Star and don't like the idea of not being able to.

I have seen both semis and large MH's with extenders that bring the valve stems right out and place them near the center of the wheel. I assume those would be real leak risk, but if you can easily add air, who cares ???

I have both a dual footed pressure guage and a dual footed air filler attachment purchase at a CC Rally from Les Schwab. I also carry a small 135PSI air pump in the Coach. Using these tools, it is very easy to check air pressure and fill the tires if necessary.
On my coach the inner dual valve stem in in the hole opposite the outside dual valve stem.
It is easy to insert the guage in that hole and feel around for the valve stem. It only takes about 2 or 3 minutes to check both sets of dual tires.

I have one of every tire gauge and fill adapter made on this planet since 1844 (tire fetish my wife says), so I think I am all set.
I also have a 150 psi 'pancake' compressor ... the DS needed 120 psi.

I have had a set of extenders on my coach for almost four years and have not had a problem with air leakage. The extenders allow me to easily check the air pressure on the inner duals but I have not needed to add air.

I noticed the posts about 135 and 150 PSI portable compressors.
What capacity does the air suspension compressor have on the newer models?

On our antique we have air suspension and an air tank almost as large as the propane tank. The compressor is regulated for 100 psi.
We run tire pressures at 95 psi. (Not as big as most of of you newer model guys).

There is a connector from the air tank that allow plugging in an air hose. I normally leave a dial typ pressure gauge plugged in here as a backup to the dash pressure gauge. It also keeps dirt out of the connector. And we have a front/back tire gauge and fill adapter.
However, have not yet tried, or needed, to air tires with it.
The air hose and a high velocity nozzle have come in handy many times to blow-sweep dirt and leaves of campground slab and picnic tables.
More fun than a broom.

I have used Crossfire's for over 5 years on this coach & Cat's eyes for over 3 years on my previous coach with no leaks or problems. They tie the inner & outer wheels together & give you an easily accessible airing point that keeps both tires at equal pressure. I purchased the Crossfires at Les Schwabb in Junction City for about $110...they had to order them. You do have to know the amount of air you require in your rear tires as the Crossfires are preset at the factory.

Bought mine at Farm and Fleet ... an ag store we have around here in N IL/S Wis. Can't remember the brand, but it was around $200, and is a flattened sphere (pancake) with the compressor sitting on top.
Pumps to 150 psi the on 'on' limit at about 125 psi, and the 'off' limit about 150 psi.

I chose this rather than try and run a hose from the front or our Dutch Star (at the time). We use it to pump up bike tires, and have used it on our MH several times.

The unit is in FL and we are home now so I can't be more specific now. If you only need 100 psi or so, there are many units that will work at Sears, etc.

I don't crawl under the coach to check the tire pressure but I do crawl under to put air in the inside dual. But most of the time I have someone else do it during a service visit..

WHAT??? You crawl under the coach to air your tires??? Why not just buy the right tool and do it the easy way. I easily check air pressure in all my tires (including the inside dual tire) and add air if necessary and hardly get my hands dirty. You can buy the correct tools that fit Country Coach wheel holes from Las Schwab. I bought my "straight back" gauge and air chuck tool from Les and they work great. It is so easy to do that I check pressure in every tire every time we move the coach to another campground, and it only takes me about 5 minutes! Putting air in a tire (including the inside dual tire) is just as easy.

CC air tank pressure is enough to fill our front tires to 110 PSI.
A dual footed pressure gauge and a dual footed air chuck were purchased from Les Schwab. Wally World sold a 50' coiled hose & 4 quick connectors. One female connector is now on an air tank drain valve below left front headlamp. The hose directly coupled to dual footed air filler & a male quick connector.

Using these tools, I can check air pressure and fill the tires if necessary.
50' is barely enough to fill rear curb side tires. I may yet add a 25' hose to 50' hose for 75' total length. A male connector with capped end will soon be in female tank connector to exclude dirt.
