Country Coach On-Board Air Fitting

Shortly after purchasing our Allure last year I also ran into the correct fitting designation

to enable me to use an air hose with the onboard female air fitting chuck located in the

front-most, drivers side compartment. I asked CC tech support and received the following

reply: "The QD or quick disconnect fittings used by CC are Truflate type fittings. The Male

fittings are CP-2 and the Female fittings are C-1." They are correct, a male CP-2 fitting on the end of an air hose works perfectly. They are

available at almost any auto supply store and most building supply outlets.

Under the heading "you learn something every day"; I assumed the "male" vs. "female" designation on the air hose connections referred to the connecting ends of the parts. Not so. The gender designation refers to the other end, i.e. the end that connects to the hose--not the end that connects to the QD. Guess who bought the wrong one? Of course everyone but me probable knew that. I'm glad this subject came up because the air hose I have been carrying had the other type which was used on my former Dynasty. Because of these postings I checked and found the error. Thanks to all.
