FANTASTIC FAN PROBLEM

Yahoo Message Number: 12744
HELP! My kitchen fantastic fan is stuck in the open position. The motor (not the fan) is running constantly but I am unable to get it to close the cover.
As should be expected, this has happened at a time when it is raining and I have towels on the floor to mop up the water.
The Fantastic telephone help line is already closed for the night so I thought I would post a note here. If anyone has any ideas please respond.

Thanks.

You should be able to unscrew the oval shaped arm activator and unplug it from the two wires that are there and t hen you should have a knob that they furnished that will turn the arms to get them down...or something like that...look in your info folder...you can take the screen off and reach up and maybe pull it down after you get the arms inactivated or at least until tomorrow when you can talk to Bob...I just talked to him today as mine is not working and new parts are on the way...and as usual at no charge...how do they stay in business...? good luck...

Have you checked the price of a new one? There is PLENTY of profit there.

Hi

Same thing happened to me, and altho the advice you've been given may work, I virtually had to disassemble everything and cram everything closed.
They will replace parts and now they have a new apparatus which provides an emergency screw closure that will allow you to close if the motor isn't getting the job done.

Cover the opening as best you can from the rain, and call them tomorrow.
They are great company and they'll get you going again.

Called Fantastic today and Bob Berreta talked me through the process to get the motor out and cover closed. Now we are dry and next week should receive the replacement parts Bob is sending FOC. Great service so far from Fantastic Fan.

Thanks for the comments & advice.
