What if one was to lighten the weight of the Rear Flap so that it "Sailed in the Wind, to reduce the High Pressure in front of it, butt still depleting many of the rocks kicked up by the rear tyres. Plus I looking for some thin stainless Perferrated Stainless Steel to replace the outer upper solid metal panel above the rubber... to allow air to flow thru..

I suspect that the holes would have to be realllllly big to allow significant flow-through. I do know that, sitting on our screened porch, the screen blocks a significant amount of wind.

Is there a way to install dual mud flaps in the wheel wells and take the full flap off instead? That may be a possibility along with a tow skirt for the toad to eliminate the sand blast effect.

Hello all,

Those of you that are having overheating problems, what engine do you have? I have the Cummins 330 and have no overheating problems.
However, in the summer of '01 we did have some overheating problems coming back from Vegas. Had Cummins check everything and they found that the thermostat had been dropped before it was installed. Since then, no problems and I do have the full rear flap.
John, I feel for you being coachless, was that way myself from July to end of November while waiting for our unit. Man, Labor day weekend and Fall Break weekend were the pits, had to stay home or take the SUV.

Just brainstorming here, but you might be able to prop/wire the flap up at about a 45 degree angle. This might allow more cooling/ram airflow and still catch the rocks. Probably won't look too good though. I've only had my coach for about a month and hope I don't have any cooling problems this summer. Is this a common problem with CC/Cummins? Thanks
