air filter

Onan Genset HDKAK 8KW- trying to replace air filter- Onan part #140-2897- took part # to NAPA (no cross reference) Any body know if there is one other than Onan?

Also I replaced Diesel fuel filter-(got kinda smelly on my tee shirt) Whats a good way to stop Diesel fuel from running out while changing the Diesel fuel filter?

We are new CC owners, so have not attempted to replace our air, oil, or fuel filters on the Genset. Previously when doing repair work on our autos, I have used golf tees or a lead pencil as a plug. If not large enuf for your job, try a wooden dowel large enuf that can be sharpened with a pencil sharpner. Good luck!

We did the same thing, went to NAPA only to get the wrong filter. Then I called Onan.
They are apparently a Onan only filter. Ordered 2.

I've got a 95 Magna with a Kobota diesel. Is this a diesel genset made by Onan with a Onan diesel or a Kobota diesel?
