Slide Leak

My 2004 Allure has a leak in the bedroom slide. The water comes in at the lower right corner of the slide opening as you face it from the inside. I've checked the weather striping all around the slide, both on the inside and outside. It appears to be properly in place and contacts the slide firmly on all sides. I've also checked the slide seams and all seem to be in tact and with no gaps in the sealant. To date I have not been able to determine where the water is entering the slide, only where it comes into the coach. The weep holes in the bottom channel surrounding the slide opening are open and I can feel there is no water getting in that channel or exiting the weep holes. Some how the water is entering the slide and working it's way down to that corner and dripping off the bottom of the slide on the inside. Anyone had a similar problem? If so, what was the fix? I had similar problems with my bedroom slide. The fix? I took it to the factory and they found the leak(s) and plugged them up. Then I made a second trip to the factory for them to replace the walls in the slide because of water damage that we didn't see until a few months later...it was a scientific experiment under the wall paper.
CC Service staff did a great job of fixing the problems.

Had a leak in bedroom slide during the first year of ownership. Found a fix by resealing the seam where the roof of the slide meets the outer fiberglass side. You can only reach half of the joint from each of the ends. Hold up the topper awning and use a good silicone--don't be stingy as it cannot be seen from the ground. Good luck, Stan, Intrigue #11471

I believe I have a problem similar to yours. For orientation; standing at the foot of the bed and facing it, I'm talking about the right side just below the night stand.
A few weeks ago, I noticed a circular wet spot a couple of inches forward of the night stand. It was strange since it was isolated to a circular pattern area with no indication of where it originated. Soooo, I removed the panel attached just below the night stand. This is the panel that is partially carpeted and floppy on the end that goes under the bed. The screw that holds this piece in place is one of those requiring a square driver to remove. In order to remove the panel completely, I had to retract the slide a bit.
At this point I looked under the night stand and low and behold there is what looks like a small rectangular box attached to the corner end of the slide. This box also has a hole with a hose attached running aft. It is kind of strange because the hose, at one point appears to be higher than the discharge hose on the box. I'm not sure how they thought this would drain.
It is my opinion that this box fills with water, either from condensation and/or seepage, and when the slide is closed and the coach moves it sloshes around and spills on the carpet. The line up of the retracted slide, box, and wet carpet would support this theory. While, I haven't positively solved this issue my next step is to place a pan where the what spot occurs and see what I collect.
If I am correct, I'm uncertain just how to go about solving it. I tried cleaning out the box and the discharge hose, it had some gooey stuff in it. I plan to get underway next week, so I'll try the pan and go from there.

Terry, I have the same problem with my '04 Allure only 10 units from yours. I leak from both fron and back lower corners. With the slide in but not out or while coming in. I have not succeeded in a fix yet. Have had it to Buddy Greg Knoxville twice and going in again this weekend for work next week. Getting frustrated but out of patience yet.

Sorry to hear that you are having slide leak problems. Our first Country Coach was a non slike, and for the most part, we liked it.
Our 2003 2 slike Intrigue was a much bigger problem. Both slides had subsantial leaks. At a Country Coach rally we conferred with a lot of CC slide owners. Most all of them said that had had ongoing leaks with seal replacements that didn't work. Our coach leaked into the sidewalls. You all should know that condensation or water in a coach is the worst problem that you can have. Country Coach could not solve our problem. They involked a lot of warranty clauses which do no good for the owner. There is a lot more that I could say because I am intimately familiar with CC construciton and warranty.

Don, we also have a 2004 Allure triple slide. We had a leak in the Bedroom slide similar to the one you describe. I fixed our leak in the following manner. Examine the silicone sealant on the trim on the lower corner of the slide. It may appear to be OK, but if you take a putty knife and try to slide it between the trim and the sidewall you will probably discover some gaps. Water was coming down the side wall, entering the trim and seeping into the coach. Apply a small bead of clear silicone sealant to the gaps and use your finger moistened with water to push the sealant into the gap and smooth it out. Do this on the top as well as the underside of the trim piece.
You may also want to examine the trim on the other slide for the same problem and perform the same fix. Good luck. Terry
