Stubborn spots on aluminum wheels

Yahoo Message Number: 14140
Anyone know a good cleaner to remove what looks like water spots, etc from the aluminium wheels. They won't budge with standard aluminum cleaner (Mothers), etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

hi larry, take it from a long time trucker {with show trucks] polishing aluminum is no fun.you didnt really discribe the stains but if they are like a dull milky white, you may have run across some acid somewhere, ie truck wash...the best way to deal with it is a light acid solution on the wheels and then buff them out again.better yet have them done.i just had my entire coach buffed out and all the wheels..it looks great.going rate at most truck washes and truckstops is $10:00 a wheel, money well spent in my opinion.i did it for to many years, my girls used to help me before they got old enough to start worring about the black stuff under their fingernails..lol

Thanks squeezndeb! (like that handle!) Sounds like, unless I want to make this a four day project, I should pursue the truck stop option. Appreciate the advice.
