Another Affinity question ..

Yahoo Message Number: 14813
Does anyone know where the circuit board is that allows you to configure the trailer plug ... four wire to five wire ?? This is a way cool feature if I could only find the jumper.
The book says it is in the engine compartment near the engine cut off switch, but of course it is nowhere to be found. So much for CC manuals. We tried to trace the wiring harness from the trailer socket, but it disappears into the framework.
I would think they would default to a four wire system, as this must be what most people require I would sure think.

Calling Lazy Days tommorow, but they won't know either.

Thanks ...
John

John:

Don't know the location on your specific coach, but we have our second '04 Intrigue, and both had this little bugger in the fuel filter bay.
One was screwed to the top of the bay and was quite difficult to remover the panel to get to the jumper. The other was on the rear wall of the bay and was relatively easy to access. Don't look for an exposed circuit board, as I'm sure all are covered with a (probably white) panel that is about 3/4" thick (the offset bends to form around the board). Good luck.

John, in our 05 Affinity the box is in the last bay on the passenger side. It is a black box near the oil reservoir. No extra parts needed to change from 4 to 5, its pretty easy to do. Dale Hollick 05 Affinity #6370

Good deal, thanks a bunch. Didn't think to look there. The pic shows one jumper, pretty clever set up.

John,

Our control box for the hitch and car lights is in the filter compartment, which is a great location compared to our 01 which was in the engine compartment. Look in your last door on the passenger side.

Yep, found it, changed the jumper, and all is well. Had a connection problem on the Honda, but fixed that too.

Thanks ...

John, I'm sure you have found it by now, but......it is in the curb side bay with your fuel filters etc at the rear of the coach, and behind a metal panel cover which is attached with Velcro
