At FMCA I saw other motorhomers using their on board compressor tanks to inflate their tires so I set up my 1998 Intrigue as soon as I returned home, but alas, even though my dash guage shows 120# I can't get 110# in my tires. Is this what you would expect or am I doing something wrong?

I have a 2003 Intrigue First Avenue. It has been great, and I have no problems at this time. I want to have general service done (everything and anything that should be done). This would include oil changes, other fluids, etc.
I am probably going to take it to Junction City. I am considering having it done at the factory or Carrier and Sons. Which of the two would be best for service? Since I am a first time coach owner...what do you think or suggest?

My impression is their service rates are a bit high: $85/hr, plus parts which are difficult to gauge as to their true cost.

Had my 5000 mile service done at Cummins Northwest in Coburg. Saved me about $200 over Country Coach cost.

i'm certainly not one to know, Egon. Our last service was a year ago at Cummins/Houston; before that in 2003 at Freightliner/Portland, neither of which I would (or could) compare to CC. One thing to consider however, is the customer service at Camp CC: unsurpassed IMO.

I noticed your 2000 Allure coach number is close to my #30511.
Anything special you having done that is best for the factory to be doing? The shop labor rate is consistant with the Cummins and Prevost shops here in Jacksonville, FL. There are a few small independent shops as low as $55/hour. However, their capability is limited to lube, oil and filter changes.

We haven't seen the work order yet, but the estimate was $1054: $595 labor, $459 parts.
This wasn't broken down, other than: "Complete LOF w/chassis inspection, tranny and differential service"

We're here at Camp CC for another week to have some non-maintenance work done, at which time we'll be presented with the final bill (shudder). If you're still interested, email us around the 10th and I'll share the details.
