Wabasto Burner tube recal

As you recall, I mentioned some time ago about the burner tube recall from Wabasto. CC knew nothing about it until after I called them. The recall was effective Feb 15, 2005, and I had not heard anything, SO- I called Wabasto, they sent me to Vehicle Systems, the manufacturer of the Hydronic unit. I talked with the service tech, John. He was most helpful and stated that mine was on the recall list. I had given him the model and serial number of the unit. He also told me where to have it replaced. This morning, May 31, I had the unit updated with the new burner tube. I have pictures of the old one (1 year) if anyone is interested. The old tube had several bubbles in the metal that would dent easily. I strongly suggest you check your units serial number and contact Vehicle Systems. There number is:800.685.4298, ask for John.
