Allison 3060 "Service" message on shift display

A couple of time in the last several weeks I have had a "SERVICE" message appear on the LED display on my shift pad when I first start.
When this happens the transmission will not shift, I shutdown wait a few seconds restart and the message is gone and the transmission works

normal. I have not been able to find out any information in my manual on the transmission or on the Allison site about this message. Has anyone had this problem? and if so what was the fix?
