2004HE Allure 40' with tag axle

We are curious to note others have had similar problems we have.

The oil pan situation got us two time before we found out about the protective system that CC has. The first time was close to $1K to have corrected by Cummins. The second is in process. At least they gave us the modification, for which we are grateful, since I see that some have had to pay.

The slide water leaks have plagued us from the get-go. We bought our coach in Buffalo and drove home in rain. The leaks were apparent from the start. We have taken our coach to Buddy Gregg in Lewisville, Tx numerous times and we still have the leaks. CC has advised us the warraty on the "coach" has expired and now we are in a " BEGGING FOR HELP" situation by virtue of letters to the "Warranty Administrater".
Hopefully, she will reconsider but who knows what will happen.

Our back up monitor has been flacky from the start. In spite of numerous recommendations to "check the connections", Buddy Gregg could not get it fixed. We found that by moving the wiring in back of the display unit, the device would work again. So we are closed to fixing the problem ourselves.

We will be checking the height difference on the oil pan when the tag axle is raised but only for futute reference. Oh well!
If some one has a recommendation on the slide leaks, we would be most apprecitive as we want to travel.

If some one has recommendations for fixing the dash air blowing hot air, we would also like to hear about that.
We have heard about an "H" valve recall but CC does not confirm this.

Have you tried going to a dealer that has a CCI teck there for CC problems. On our 01 coach we had several leaks that I could not correct. We took it to Lazy days and insisted that Tim Reed work on the problem and he fixed it in about one hour. I could have kicked myself for letting it go so long. Unfortantly tim is no longer at Lazy Days but there are 3 other tecks there plus a CC sales manager. In the winter there are more CC tecks at Lazy Days and several other dealers. I have also seen slide leaks fixed for free at rallies on coaches much older then yours.

Tim Reed now works at Buddy Gregg in Lakeland, he worked on my 2000 Intrigue. VERY good tech.

Tim is a fantastic tech and a very nice person, he is definitely one of the ex-CC employees who I would want to work on my coach.

Unfortunately Buddy Gregg in Lakeland is closed and no longer there. I don't know where Tim went but I know he is no longer in Lakeland. Competition with LD must have been too stiff.

I work for a dealer in Ma. We have had several slide room leaks that no one else was able to fix. They ended up being a series of holes along the top of the slide room roof at the outer edge. They looked like thet were left over from production and poorly sealed. We ran a 6" wide roof seal tape from Dicor along the entire edge. It seems to have taken care of the problem. No call backs. Your situation may be different but its something to look at. Good luck.

We've had slide room leaks fixed by CC tech's at a Rally, then LazyDays in Florida and by Cummins Coach Care in Elkhart, IN. They all fixed something, it just took time/exposure to find and then fix all of the sources. We identified the leaks and got LazyDays and CC started on them while under warranty. It was beyond the one yr warranty when the fixes were all done and proved OK in actual use.
Your post doesn't say what gets wet so I don't know if our sources of leaks might be like yours. Here's what they were:

1. Seal/adjustments to BR slide by CC tech
2. A few missing screws and corresponding open screw holes where the roof cap joins the slide wall. These roof cap screws are spaced every 4 inches or so and are covered by the vinyl trim that runs the length of the side of the coach. CC authorized LD to remove/inspect/reseal the entire roofcap joint.
3. The seal under the ~18" L shaped trim piece that covers the joint
between the slide room roof panel and the short exterior slide room forward wall opened. This allowed water that pooled on the SR roof panel to seep into the wall. LD and Cummins Elkhart, IN fixed this one.

Don't know where tim Reed is now. Buddy Greg in Lakeland, florida is now closed and all the stock moved to Tenn. I guess BG could not complete after he lost the right to sell new CCs and some other brands. He had mostly used coaches and some new custom buses. Couldn't make it on repairs in this area. I have heard that tim is now with Ken Roberson, but we hear that Ken is under a reorganization plan.

Thanx Bill, there are only 2 people in Fla that will work on mine in the future, and if I can find Tim, which I REALLY need to do at this point, i'll keep him in the loop.
