Engineering boondoggle

I'm sorry, but the dash gauges and warning lights on the 05 Inspire is a complete engineering boondoggle! I knew this for sure when one of the fixes from Country Coach was to snip the wire to the red engine overheat (water) light. Now the engine temperature can shoot for the moon, and I won't have that pesty red light coming on to annoy me.
If you buy into "the worlds finest motorcoaches" scenario, you should not also have to buy into after market products to see what the heck is going on with your engine and transmission. IMHO!

I agree Jim; however, since I own "the worlds finest motorcoach" I want to know what is happening with it so I went ahead and purchased the VMSpc. Since I am computer savvy it is not an issue for me. For others the better choice might be other VMS dash mounted products.
In my situation, I had some rather severe issues upon purchase which you can find in the archives here. They have been worked out over the past 4 months and my wife and my kids are almost satisfied. Just a few more issues need taking care of to get through the initial list.
That said, I find the gauges not working, including the dash warning lights that you cannot see in the day and sort of at night, the least of the worries, though it would be nice not to have to buy instrumentation that works when I already bought it in the first place.

Oh well, as someone on this board told me, life is too short, just move on and enjoy your coach. I agree with this but I also think that we as a collective group need to continue to voice our issues to CCI to help improve the brand and models for future customers who just might be us again.
