Just joined the group, strange I am into computers and am a member of several other Yahoo groups, just didn't know this one was here.
We have had a 1993 Affinity for the last 7 years, and are now looking for something newer, such as a 2001 Intrigue. Any advice or things to look out for?

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Folks,

Just joined your forum to hear what you all have to say about your coaches. Hubby and I have what is commonly called a Class A diesel SOB, so Rv'ing is not new to us. We know there is no such thing as the perfect "no breakdown" coach. (in our dreams maybe, but that's all!)

We hope to learn the joys and pitfalls of this brand, what troubles are common, how you go about getting them fixed and what type of support CC gives its owners.
We've seen CC's on the road, but have not paid much attention to them until now. We're in northern Washington and will head south taking in the RV show in Tacoma on our way to the factory in Oregon before we land in Az. for the winter. (no place to be in the summer with temps hovering around 127)

We have some unique requirements in an RV and if the CC can accommodate them, (and we can afford one LOL) we may take the plunge and upgrade from what we have. Hubby is a retired church organist and choir director and we carry a 2 manual electronic Rodgers organ in our coach. (talk about a speaker on wheels!) Anyway, the first requirement is space, weight and how we can get it in. In our present coach, the organ is not on a slide, we have customized the inside with lightweight furniture to accommodate the organ weight and the present coach has very large windows. A window was removed so the organ could go in on its back, and be set up with ease. With our hunt for an upgraded RV, I'm afraid no other brand has big enough windows. I guess there is always trade offs on everything. If we can find a way to get the organ in, then we can proceed with our hunt.
We have various questions, but won't deluge you with them all at once.

How big is your pantry? Pretty good size or are they small, about the width of a soup can? (We've seen them from huge to none at all---I don't think some people carry food with them or cook).
And how does this coach drive? Our present SOB is on a Freightliner chassis with IFS and is quite easy to drive.
Thanks for your patients. Once we can get to a show, the factory and visit a dealer we may get most of our questions asked.
Any specific dealer you recommend?

Thanks a bunch, and safe travels in what every you have! Sue (and Bob too...I just type faster)
