More trim piece adhesive failure ...

Sorry for the new post, but I think it's important that folks see this just in case I did not get the only one of these.
When I noticed, only two of eight studs were left. I assume that at some point they would have failed, and the trim would have fallen off and caused some superficial but expensive damage as it fell under the coach.

Might want to check yours of you have one similar to ours.

I took a look at your photos. It appears from the photos that the channel is fabricated from galvanized steel. If so, any adhesive will have a problem adhering unless the galvanize is etched in some way.
Etching can be done either mechanically or chemically.

I think its chrome plated mild steel (the trim piece). Same problem I guess. Pretty sure the studs are stainless, but have not checked it with a magnet yet. Strange things to have to 'glue' together.

I am calling 3M tommorrow per suggestions here and via email.
Actually doesn't look that bad without the trim piece, except for the holes ... I sort of anti trim anyway, but Terry wants it fixed.

I will post what I find out ...
