albuquerque RV park

I looking for recommendations for RV parks to stay at for next years balloon festival...as well as those to avoid. Thanks for your suggestions.

Last Year I went with a group of CCer's to the Balloon Fiesta and we stayed in the Balloon Fiesta park and had water and electric and the honeywagon would come to pump us out. We went as a group with a comercial rally group, so we went on bus tours in the area as well. I would not bother with that again. I would however stay in the Fiesta park. It was excellent because we were right there where the balloons fly over for competition and all you had to do was step outside your coach. UNbelieveable. And they had shuttles that came around to take right over to the park across the main road... Driving to the festivities is a nightmare... the crowds are bumper to bumper from 5am on until the morning events are over arount 11am and then they start again in the afternoon. Save yourself a lot of aggravation waiting fighting for traffic and stay there.
After the rally I stayed at the Albuquerque KOA for a few days to do errands and wash clothes. There are several other campgrounds in the area, but I don't recommend them for the fiesta. I want to go again next year, so maybe I will see you there. It was fabulous!!!

Make reservations to stay on the fiesta grounds. You are close, don't have to fight traffic, and there for all the activities.
