Engine Battery

Has anyone used a Champion 8D battery as a replacement for the chassis 8D battery. My chassis battery failed recently and I stopped at a Sams Club store and noticed they had Champion brand 8D batteries for $112.
I had them install one in my coach. Has 1300 cold cranking amps and turns the engine over with no problem. Not sure how good these batteries are but the price is right and there was no installation fee, just the price of the battery.

That is what I have in my coach for a starting battery. It has been working like a champ for three years now. Just got back from five month trip to Alaska and no problems.

Ray,

Our coach came with Champions installed from the factory. The chassis battery gave it up after 2 1/2 years and that is when we replaced all three with AGMs. Hope you have better luck.

Ray, my coach came with Champions in all three positions. The chassis battery went out after 2 1/2 yrs and I bought an Interstate from Sam's at about the same price you mentioned. I think they're both pretty good. BTW, my coach batteries are still going strong after 3 1/2 yrs, a new record for me.
