Coach Would Not Start

Here is an interesting one. Last week we were getting ready to pull out and had everything stowed. I turned the ignition to the start position and waited for the "Wait to Start" light to go out. I then turned the key to engage the starter. NOTHING, no clicks, no grunts, nothing. I checked the batteries, fine. I checked the connection, fine. Called CoachNet. They suggested all the things I had done but also to whack the starter with a mallet. I have never had a problem with the starter so I didn't whack it. I asked for road service, which came about an hour later. The tech cleaned the battery terminals, nothing. Then he found a 10 amp in line fuse to the starter. BINGO! That was it. Cost $65.45. One hour of labor and one fuse. I don't think I could have found it on my own.

SUre thing.

The fuse is located in a waterproof holder mounted on the partition between the battery bay and the bay with the fuel filter, dip sticks etc. The spare fuse is now in my tool box.
