Update - transmission cooler

John,

I don't believe there is a blanket notice out yet, i got this unit because we were having other work done and I asked if they would do the tranny at the same time. I know how you feel on the warranty work but others are worse. at least CCI is correcting everything and CCI has good people at Lazy Days.
Yes we do live at Lake Ashton in a motor coach house, we have a 2000 square foot garage built into a 2600 sf house, and we love this place. One of our neighbors has a 2006 Tsamme (spelling not right, it is the tidal wave coach) by Forest River, nothing works, and dealer is out of business. Forest River sent him to Dusty's in Lake Wales and they would not look at it until March 2006, so he traded it at Lazy Days for a Monoco. Things could be worse.

Are the transmission cooling issues on the smaller Cummins/Allison too. It looks like the cooler upgrade is being done on the Cat engine.
As we have not noticed a heat problem on our 05 Cummins 400ISL/Allison combo, wondered if we need to keep a close eye out.

Thanks,

What temperature does your transmission reach while cruising on level ground? Mine runs 212-214. How hot does it get in stop and go traffic? Mine has gotten as high as 235 and would have gone higher if I hadn't started putting the tranny in neutral while stopped. If yours runs cooler than this and doesn't heat up when stopped while in gear then you are probably ok.
