Thetford electric toilet

We have a electric Thetford toilet in our Country Coach Allure and it has given us nothing but problems, it will not hold water! The seal has been replaced three times and now the whole mechanism has to be replaced, total cost $ 430.00. Can anybody shed some light on my problem?
