Poor heat volume to front of '02Al lure (long)

I think there is an error in one of the answers below. To the best of my knowledge a ceramic (not catalytic) heater will work on electric. We have an electric ceramic heater too, but when it is cold we use our catalytic heater.

A catalytic heater uses propane. We are full-timing (but I am still working in the Washington DC area) and have used our catalytic heater in the winter for the last three years. My wife and I agree that this may well be the best RV investment we have made. We bought the largest catalytic heater that Camping World sells (I think it is a little over $300 don't have a catalog in front of me>).
ADVANTAGES: It is quiet ... you can't hear it. With the catalytic heater on, the noisy furnace rarely comes on (we have a 2000 Intrigue). The heater produces radiant heat (like the sun) and keeps us warm up front (sometimes we have to turn the temperature down on the heater). As I understand it, propane burns with about 99% efficiency with the heater (instead of 50% with a furnace ... so I have been told).
DISADVANTAGES: You have to get propane plumbed into the coach. We had a quick disconnect put into our coach with an on/off valve at the propane tank. We don't have pets, but that might be a downside.
