Windshield Washer Tank Leaks?

Hello, anyone else have this problem? I filled the windshield washer tank for the first time (since I got it), and the fluid promptly ran back out to the original level (about 2" from the bottom). It seems there is a significant crack or hole in the back, where the tank bolts to its support (the front one). Plus there was only 1 small hole in the floor for the fluid to run out of...
I thought this was just 'one of those things' with a used unit, but I ran into another 2004 Inspire at a truck stop and he said he had exactly the same problem. This implies that either a batch of tanks were defective, or there is a design defect in how the tank is mounted.
If anyone else has had this problem and come up with a way to prevent it in future, please let us know.

Had the same problem with my 2004 Inspire. CC sent me a new tank. Easy install.

John, had the same problem on my '04 Intrigue. But, mine was much more elusive. The fluid leaked out slowly and then when I refilled it to try and find the leak, it did not leak anymore. So, while at CC I had them check it out and they gave me a clean bill of health - what else would you expect?. However, shortly after, I headed to the Oregon Coast and once again it slowly leaked out (I had traveled over 1200 miles without it leaking). I decided to remove the tank and check it out for myself and saw absolutely no evidence of leakage. So, put some zip ties on the hoses and bolted it back in and refilled it. Boy, did I find the leaks then - there was no question about it. CC gave me a new tank and I opted to install the new one myself - my way.

It seems that in moulding the tank, the mounting holes are too close to the tank body such that if you hold the hex head with and open end wrench (socket would not fit) while holding them and tightening the lock nuts on the outside, the slightest turning of the wrench re will puncture the tank. My solution was to get some stainless steel Phillips head 1/4" bolts from a marine store to replace the hex head bolts and use a screw driver to hold the bolt while tightening the lock nuts on the outside - problem solved.
