service at the CCI rally

What sort of service items can be handled at the CCI rally? I was wondering if they could check ride height? Also what other items could be done?

Thanks,

Linda & Don

I had a ride height valve replaced and the height adjusted on our 1999 Intrigue. You have to move the coach to an open, flat part of the parking lot to be worked on. There are sign-up sheets for almost all coach and chassis components.

re service at rallies, from my experience i would not depend on much in the way of service from cc they give you one hour of labor and 3 items and generally they can't get much done in that time. My father has a monaco and I have seen them work on his coach all day at a pre rally and then work on it again all day at the fmca rally two days later

re despain1 comments about his poor experience with service at cc rallys, and I have to chime in that while at the reunion last year, two techs worked the better part of two days on my inverter/charger and part of the third day getting it to work. A third tech fixed an odor problem we were having. I guess it is just timing, attitude, and availability. I lucked out

I had them do three things while at Tucson. The time was limted to 1 & 1/2 hours and three items.

The service is really to fix any small broken things that accumulate.
Any diagnostics or service/repairs are not what they want to do. You have to be very specific about what you want done (fix broken chair, etc.).

mYou can e-mail them at service@... and ask them about the ride height adjustment. I have heard that they do them, but they night want you to get it weighed first.

Hi Linda & Don,

I attended the Great North American Rally at Perry, GA last year. I developed a circuit breaker problem with my generator while I was there. I went to the CC exhibit and talked with a tech about the problem. I was hoping for him to give me some items that I could check out myself. Instead, he wrote up a work order and within 3 hours 2 service techs showed up at my coach. They did some tests and found that the voltage regulator at the inverter was bad. They apologized that they did not have the part with them, but said they would be back in one hour with a new one. It was less than one hour and they came back and replaced the defective unit at no cost. The coach was still under warranty. My experience was very positive and totally unexpected. I hope yours is also.

A ride height check should not be dificult to get at a rally, but if you need adjustments that may be more difficult. I had my brake line recall on our Magna checked at a rally and they found a problem and sent me into a shop. I have also had two ride height checks, both were done at dealers. One required several hours of adjustments and one required an adjustment of our air pressure which did not take much time. Call Doug Rutherford at the factory or e -mail at drutherford@..., he is a chassie guy who comes to most rally. Good luck, Bill G

we have never had a problem with getting help with any probelm from the service group. i am sure the reply from "dspain" is not the norm for most CC owners. this is one of the reasons we own a CC!!!
