End of the line

Yahoo Message Number: 20589
As happens to all of us at some point, the time has come for my spouse and I to give up the motor home life style. We have enjoyed it for 25 years, ten of which have been with three Country Coaches.

I need some advice from anyone who has sold a motor home, as I have always traded. I'm looking at listing it on " Motorhomes for sale-RVs on line " and also on E-Bay, but will appreciate some advice from someone who's been there and done that. Also, I wonder if I should offer a package with the 2000 Jeep GC towcar which is equiped with M&G brake system.

My unit is an 03 Allure 40' with tag and two slides, 47,000 miles, well equipped and in excellent condition. Any advice will be appreciated.

Walt....When I purchased my coach, I had seen it on
www. RVOnline.com. I have also looked at a lot of stuff on
www.usedmotorhome.com.

Personally, I would sell the Jeep separately. I've seen a few packaged deals listed and they seem to hang around for a long time.

Hope that helps.

Enjoy.

I am sorry to hear that you are getting out of the RV business. You were a tremendous help to me while I had my Allure on order. How would I have know about the wood trim down the middle of the bathroom mirror without your help.

Meeting you has been my pleasure. Please keep sending us your input on Country Coach and what a great motorhome they are. Your input has been a grea gift.

Thanks, Mike. I don't intend to advertize the " package", but will use it if the occasion arises.

Hi Walt,

My husband and I recently purchased our Country Coach (2002 Intrigue)

and needed to sell our Lazy Daze. The Lazy Daze Yahoo group offers an

RV for sales file, which many people used as a starting point. We also

listed with RV Trader (online) and RV Online. We got most of our responses from the Lazy Daze Yahoo list. We did get several responses

from RV Trader, but not much from RV Online. We listed our RV in mid- October and it was picked up on January 1. Is there a Country Coach for sale file on this site? I didn't find one, but I'm new.
We purchased our Country Coach on eBay in September. The auction had been going for at least a week and there were no bids. We got our bid

in just before the auction closed and paid the opening bid. The seller

did not have a reserve so he had set the opening bid at his "reserve price." I also agree with the other response to sell the tow vehicle separately.

Thanks, Dave, for the advice. I only mentioned E Bay because an acquaintance used it as a last resort and sold his coach. It was not, however, a high-line coach, so your point is well taken.

Walt,

I have not had the pleasure of meeting you or your wife but each time I get on this board and see, "End of the line" it makes me contemplate what's down the road for each of us. In my mind I have renamed your post "New Opportunities". I sincerely hope that you find something to replace the excitement and pleasures you have experienced out on the road. From your posts and the responses from numerous members of this board I can't imagine anything different .

Godspeed,

Richard

Thanks for the kind words, Richard. It will probably tade a couple of months or more to sell it, so I'll be around for a while longer.
