My wife and I are in Crescent City Ca. and are looking for a safe route back to La., just picked up coach in j.c. and will like to stay out of snow and bad weather. Can anybody help with the weather conditions report either through the north route through Flagstaff, or will it be better going through Tucson, and what roads to take.

Thanks,

Melvin, & Kay

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Route If you are not an experienced snow country RV driver, stay out of Flagstaff in February. If it can snow there while you pass through, it certainly will. Stay south young man!

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] RouteTucson will be warmer than Flagstaff, but no snow in Flagstaff at the moment. Congrats on your new coach! We've had our '05 for 4 months and love it.

Stay on 101 down to south of Petaluma, across via 116 to Napa and 12 to Suisun and on to I-5 south to Bakersfield, across on 58 to Kramer Junction , south on 395 to a jog to Victorville, pickup 18, then 247 and 62 toI-10 and home. The largest storm of the winter is currently in north and central NM and TEXAS. I-40 and some parts of I-20 are not an oppition, for the next 3 or 4 days assuming you want to come that far that fast. Check the" National Weather Service Forcast Office" for weather or just type weather on Google's web site. TWI

I've driven Hwy 101 to 116, etc., and it is easy to get lost when you get off of 101...at least it was several years ago when I drove it.

I like taking Hwy 20 through Clearlake between 101 and I-5. The exit from 101 will be Hwy 20, Clearlake. Some parts of the road are narrow, but you can make it and once you get to I-5, you have a straight shot to Bakersfield and Hwy 58. The Clearlake route has a lower population than going to Petaluma. Get to Petaluma and you get to SF Bay Area commuters.
