Delamination on Side

Have any of you experience cracks or delamination on the sides of your coaches? I have a 2005 Inspire that for no reason except faulty manufacturing has a crack on the bedroom slide exterior wall from about five inches up from the corner of the window moving toward the front of the coach for about 12 to 15 inches.
If you have, did you get any assistance from CC on the repair? Technically this is out of warranty, (I bought in September 2004) but it sure seems like CC would stand behind something as obviously poor quality and visible to the rest of the world as this is.

Any comments or input from anyone is very welcome.

I'm currently in the process. Buddy Gregg sent in an estimate, but CC has initially declined the repair. So I am currently getting a little run around. Supposed to get a call back this afternoon from Doug Rutherford, a Service Manager. I tried to get in touch with Paul Kellerman, VP of Service, but "he wasn't in".

I would check with CC on the feasibility of "stop-drilling" it so it doesn't get any bigger.

We had a similar delamination on our 97 Affinity single slide. The forward vertical edge of the skin was starting to peel away at the lower corner of the wall. There were no cracks. We, of course, are out of warranty. The fix was to remove the window and it's rubber frame, pull the skin away from the frame and foam underneath until good bonding glue was reached, then clean out all of the old, dried glue, reglue, and clamp the skin to the frame and foam again.
When the window frame was removed, evidence of roof leakage was found, with water running down and around the frame under the skin. The wooden window frame was partially rotten and had to be replaced while the skin was peeled away.
Stop drilling would work if there were no damage such as mine underneath.
Good luck, Claude 97 40' Affinity #5448.

Hodge, have you talked to anyone at CC about your problem? I've dealt with them for ten years on three coaches, and I have found them to be emminently fair. However, I have always believed in direct talks and not criticism of CC on the internet.
I suggest you talk first to your dealer and if that gets you nowhere then talk to Doug Rutherford at CC. He's always been fair to me.

I am currently waiting for a call from CC - Doug Rutherford. I have been greatly pleased with every aspect of my coach, dealer (Buddy Gregg), and CC. I am just curious if my coach has been the only one with this issue. I remain optimistic that CC will do the right thing.
I too believe in direct contact.

I had a delamination where the fibre glass pulls away from the frame of the slide(but not a crack), they took care of it. I also had a small spider web, where the slide changes levels at the bottom over the rear axle. It was taken care of with a smile, no problem. Picked up my coach same time you did. I understood that true delaminations were covered for 5 years.
