Diagnosing icemaker leak

Looking for pointers on how to go about figuring out the source of this problem. The icemaker seems to fill the tray OK but then additional water drips from it somehow and we end up with a big glob of ice in the bottom of the ice catch pan. I can't see any visible indication that the icemaker is overfilling.

Anyone here had to work though this kind of problem?

The problem most likely is the ice tray is overfilling. I had the same problem that was corrected by reducing the size of the ice cubes. This is done by removing the front cover of the icemaker and making an adjustment to the ice cube size screw. A good indication of overfill is a strip of ice that connects the cubes.

Dang if mine isn't doing the same. I think it's overflowing some how.
Looking at the manual, seems the front of the unit can be opened and adjustments to amount of water let in and size of ice cubes. However, I've poked and prodded and am afraid to break something by poking and prodding too hard. Just don't see how to open up that front.
Other option is to slow down the amount of water timed into the unit by partially closing off the water shutoff valve to the back of the refer. (Mine is a Dometic RM7030.) So far, all Dometic has done is e-mail me the same manual I already have.

No explanation of how to open the unit up, dismount it, etc.

Dan,

Mine had instructions inside the cover when I opened it. I adjusted it several times (it takes a while to see results) and the cubes got smaller but apparently mine had additional problems. Even after adjustment it still formed the block of ice in the ice catcher. We ended up replacing it but it was covered by CSP.

Don't know if you've received any input on this. Turn the screw CLOCKWISE to decrease the fill amount. Each 1/4 turn reduces the fill by 0.34 fl oz (10 mL). But, before you do this, check out the last page of the instructions included in this Norcold Ice Maker service bulletin:

The instructions talk about a Screw Adjustment Indicator that should be centered... not sure if that will affect your situation.
