Does anyone know if the current one year out of state for CA is going to sunset back to 90 days in June? Lowell & Peggy

You are kidding, no way. We are paying now and we will continure there is nothing as permanent as a temporary tax.

Thank you,

Latest word is that the governor included a one year extension in his proposed budget. If the budget passes, with the extension in it, by June 30th, then we are out of luck. No exemption :-(

The CA budget passage has a history of running late. From several sources I have been unable to get an answer to the question if there is an enforcement hole between June 30th and final passage. Feeling is that it would/could be made retroactive. Strange....

Meanwhile, we will be flying to South Dakota in June as part of the steps to firmly establish our non-CA domicile with new driver licenses and voter registration. We have sold our home (close escrow June 9th), and starting full timing June 10th by heading to the CC Rally in Eugene -- arriving June 12th. We will be assisting with parking and the introduction of some speakers. Melitta will be assisting at the registration desk.
