Speaking of dash AC.....

Yahoo Message Number: 23207
....we have been battling dash AC warm air for about 6 months. Keep taking it in and Holland kept saying it is working fine and the outlet air temperature is within specs. Reality of it all is it was not so we took it back for a fourth time. This time they found, with the help of Ryan from CCI, that the compressor was not turning so they felt there was something wrong. Well, the sweat on my body as I drive down the road in 100 degree heat could have told them there was something wrong but hey, at least they admitted there was an issue which is the first step to solving a problem. Turns out that there are three schrader (sp?) vlaues that were leaking. The technician replaced them and the air was blowing cold like it came from the Alps! This past trip once very nice and cool!

Sorry to sound bitter but I am really frustrated with these issues that require multiple visits and each time I am told the issue I have presented works fine...I have many examples of this from LP sensors, leveling system, dip stick oil levels, sat dish alignment, water heater issues, leaking shower value, and the list goes on and on......I bet once my warranty is up there will be issues to fix, maybe even things that do not need fixing :)

It does happyen to all of us. We have a 2000 # 30498 From day one we were not able to get the ac to work right on the dach. In and out of the shop 12 times, Gave up. This last home comeing . The ac man asked if I would like the ac check? I said yes. He came back and told me the values leaking. He fixed them and workes fine. We all have things that go out or do not work right. Our cc is a 2000.
Guestwaat? the toilet is leaking water at the vacuum breaker kit. So it goes. Good luck on enjoying your RV. Capt. Dan 2000 # 30498

We talked with Holland multiple times over many months about the LP alarm going off. At first we thought it was when we were dry camping becuase it did not go off when hooked up, but then it went off when hooked up as well. It went off in the middle of the night, when the coach was closed up for a few days, sometimes randomly. Holland said this was normal. We also thought the LP might be leaking so we had that checked as well. We got tired of being awaken at 3:30 in the morning so we called CCI. They said this should not be the case and sent us a new LP sensor unit immediately. We replaced it ourselves and it stopped. Fixed, done, now we can sleep.

It is a real easy replacement really. Hope this helps you out!

AMEN Captain DAAAN!!!

Sometimes troubleshooting these enormously complex coach systems is a real art on a GOOD day, with gobs of specific experience with the problem, and neurons and synapses firing on all cylinders... and the gods smiling down on you that day...
Be happy the issue was finally resolved... Techs are neither rocket scientists or engineers nor are they generally paid enough to care about these things as if they are "life or death" issues for owners...

This is the joy of having a motorhome!!!
Gotta get over it or it will drive you crazy, eh? Let it go and move on before something else goes wrong as it surely will... and enjoy the times between repairs... that is R-E-A-L-I-T-Y.
I heard some words of wisdom that bear repeating "Things you can fix with "money" are not problems... it is the things that money cannot fix that are the real problems...( like your health...) Even if fixing them can be frustratingly slow...
( My motto as I stated before " There is always something wrong with your motorhome, you just may not know it yet!")

You always have the option of diplomatically "negotiating" or "appealing" service charges on issues that have been continuously unresolved... (from the same service facility...) Otherwise you just have to move on...
