Allison rebuild & warranty

Yahoo Message Number: 23883
Allison Distributor is to rebuild my Allison transmission next week.
Distributor said it is covered by 2 year 80,000 mile warranty.
Not the 5 year unlimited mile warranty I thought it had.

Sounds like Distributor will only replace defective part & parts excessively worn.

Flare on 2-3 up shift & on 3 - 4 up shift is cause of rebuild.
Am wondering about reliability of MD3000 rebuilt @ 18000 miles. Should I buy extended warranty?

Eric, that is an example of why we always buy an extended warranty. You never know what is around the corner that could be very costly. We buy from Dave Gardner at www.warrantyexperts.com. It is less costly for a warranty if you buy when the coach is less than 12 months old and less than 12k miles, but Dave will take care of you at this point in time also. Hope this helps,
