Allure 2007 430 40'

Yahoo Message Number: 23930
We took delivery last Tuesday. So far, quite flawless -- knock on wood. Heading over to Florence OR Tuesday, after the buyer of our Allure 2002 flys in from South Carolina on Monday.

Couple of questions:
1. The front door is very hard to close -- they have adjusted it once, and they now say that is the way it should be. Tried one other coach, and it is about the same. It is probably a trade off between air tightness and easy of closing. If I wanted to try my own adjustments, is it the screws that hold the latch, or can the post be repositioned? Still making two to four attempts to close the door from the inside, before it latches properly so that we can bolt the door.

2. Combo Splendide washer/dryer bounces and vibrates all over the
place. Originally could not open the soap tray, and they just pushed the washer to the right. Never had a balance problem with our older Splendide. Is the dryer suppose to be bolted down? Washing a load of "water" right now, and it is very smooth. I believe the washer is suppose to adjust the speed of its spin based upon vibration. As a side note, we hate some of the "new" features - - The setting of the main dial to the last step of a wash cycle to dry; a high speed spin a few minutes into the drying cycle when set to heavy cottons; door stays locked for 45 seconds when stopping a dry cycle to see if it is dry enough already -- I want in NOW, if it is drying!

Other notes:

Entertainment equipment cabinet variable speed fan is noisy and doesn't stop when cool.

CC does not know how to properly terminate CAT5 network wiring.
Wires crossed over (1 to 8, 2 to 7, etc), and wrong RJ45 plugs for solid wire. I bought the proper fittings & replaced, and they helped me pull some CAT5 and COAX to additional locations in exchange. Two computers and printer are networked in coach.

Cummins 400 Oil and transmission temps both 190 to 200 in silverleaf, and shows a little LOWER on the dumb dash guages. Very happy with silverleaf ranges. Oil pressure shows as a variable, not as a "fixed" value, like I believe was done with some ISL's.

Will get CC to re-program some of the blank spots on the IntelliTec switches. Add Fan control from side of bed. Dimmer on Vanity lights (minor rewire from relay to dimmer module in closet), Additional ceiling light control. (Fan controls in the Allure 2007 430 is a step backwards from the Allure 2002. You have to buy a 470 to get the speed controlled by temperature).

Disappointed that the RTI Universal Remote can only be reprogrammed by CC or licensed Home Theater businesses. Cal from Advanced Satellite added DirecTV HD TiVo -- and CC does not want to reprogram. RTI (and CC due to license issues) will not provide the software for my laptop to use with its USB port. Cal is not licensed. Will have to take it somewhere several hundred miles from here. Anyone with access to that software?
