I can't seem to find a tire pressure gauge that will work on all of the tires on my '04 Allure 40', especially the outside dual, which has the valve stem pointing in toward the inside dual. Thanks for any info.

Hi Ken,

I carefully bent the valve stem using a tire iron and a pipe so it pointed at the outside rim hole.

You can go to most major tire stores that sell large RV tires and have them install vale stem extentions that make checking the inner dual tire air presssure much easier. I did it on my older gas coach and I think it cost about $35 for both sides.

I now have to do the same thing on my new Allure.

Rather than bending the stem or putting on an extension, I bought a 180 degree gauge from Gemplers (www.gempelrs.com); item # TG18 for $16.50. Also bought the 180 degree tire chuck.
They list it as being for aluminum wheels to avoid scratching.

I find that the easiest thing to do is go to a Les Swabb or similar firm.

Very easy problem to solve. Take a wrench, can't remember what size, and loosen nut on bottom of stem, just enought to turn 180 degrees and retighten. Guys at Les Schwab told me that little hint. If you do it properly you will not loose any air at all. Two years ago I bought new tires and installed 1" stem pointed to the outside.......really easy to check and air tires...and much easier to use locking air chuck.

You can also buy this tire guage from Les Swab at any CCI rally, he sells them for $20 and they work great, He also sells the air chuck. No need to do anything with extenders which are not good for your coach. They loosen up and do more damage then good.

Thanks everyone for the information. I think I'll go for the 180 degree gauge from Gemplers.
