DIY- Foot operated PAC brake switch

On early Intrigues, the PAC brake switch was located on the left side of the dash, below the steering column. It wasn't easy to take your hands off the wheel and fumble for the PAC brake switch when you needed the breaking NOW. For easier hands-free operation of the PAC brake, I added a foot operated switch on the floorboard next to the steering column.
1. I bought a foot-operated hi-lo beam switch from your local automotive store (about $8). Pre-wired the switch with 4' each of 12 gauge wire to each terminal (2 lugs).

2. Mount the switch to the floor, ~ 2" away from the steer column.
You will be able to use the steering column as a reference for finding the switch with your foot and it's out of the way during normal driving. I had plenty of room on the floorboard for the existing hi-beam switch and the new switch, and still have lots of room to rest my left foot.

3. Route and Splice the two switch wires into the 2 wires leading to
your PAC Switch on the dash or console and dress the wiring as appropriate (tie wraps, etc.)

The PAC brake indicator light and the normal dash switch will function as normal.

Another solution to this problem: At the Homecoming Rally, I had CC move the switch to the panel to the left of the driver, as with newer coaches. It cost me less than $4 for the new switch and of course no labor charge.
