Can anyone give me a brief explanation of the differences between the magna, Allure and Intrigue.

Someone asked me and frankly I don't know.. I've only owned a magna.

About a hundred grand separates 'em I think, lol. I've owned all three and seriously there is just more luxury and larger engines and trannies as you go up the ladder. The Allure and Intrigue share chassis' and the Magna and Infinity share chassis', at least they used to. The easiest way to compare is to visit the CC web site and browse. I'm sure Damon has handouts also. jerry in NM, '00 Magna.

The Magna basically has more horsepower and interior amenities than either the Intrigue or Allure. The Intrigue and Allure are so much alike that I bought an Allure this time after owning two Intrigues. Difference in price is 35-40 thous. and I can't find it. A few of the bay doors open vertically on the new Intrigue and all bay doors are fiberglass versus aluminum on the Allure. After having both types I find the aluminum ones fit better and I don't have the differences in fit between the doors I had with both Intrigues. If you will look at the new 2003 specs at the CC website you'll see just how little difference there is. My Allure has the 370 ISL Cummins with a Jake brake which I find far superior in braking power over the PacBrake I had in the Intrigues. I believe the ISL with Jake is standard in the Intrigue this year. Also, the exterior finish on the Allure is now equal to the Intrigue.

I hope this helps.

Listed below are some of the things we like about the Magna verses the Intrigue, and we have had both also.
1. Magna is a built on a heaver chassie, so it rides better.
2. The electronic voice monitoring of the engine and onboard systems is extensive. It's nice to have someone tell you when your tanks are full or you antenna is up or you air is low.
3. The electrical readouts are helpful when you want to see what the campground or battery voltage is.
4. The chassie has more air bags.
5. The bath rooms are equiped with better fixtures and showers.
6. The dashs and gauges are better.
7. Interior hardware is better.
8. The interiors are nicer and include stained glass panels, rounded corners on cabinets, lighted glass cabinet, crown moulding on slide, lights in all cabinets and closets, etc. There are more electronic items, power antenas, better rear camera, auto locks on outside cabinets, separate heater controls for passenger, etc.
9.Lots of bells and whisles which we happen to like.
10. More options are available like heated tile floors which we think are one of the best options we purchased

11. Magna has a larger engine, we have the 385 hp cat which has a lot more power then the 370 Cummings. On the Intrigue with the 370 Cummings CCI uses a 3000 transmission. On the 385 Cat they use the 4000 trans. Only 15 hp difference so why do they use a difference trans?,more power in the Cat.
We believe the Magna is a nicer the Intrigue, but is it better?. It all depends what you are looking for in a coach. I like all the toys and bells, it makes driving more fun. I also think the tag axle is safer then the single axle coach. The tag axle has more brakes, and the tires are bigger which give you more of a safety margin for air pressure and carring capacity. When we purchased our coach the tag was only available on the Magna and above. Well that's what I think about the Magna verse the Intrigue. You might also want to consider that the Magna is also made in a different plant in a different way. It is not built on the same type of production line as the Intrigue, It is built more by hand and it takes longer. Is that better I don't know, we have had our share of problems but they eventually get worked out and we love the coach.

I don't know about the 2003's yet but the 2002 Intrigue had more basement storage space than the Magna.... tag vs. non-tag and the slide on the Magna took up more basement space than in the Intrigue.
