2000 Affinity

We just purchased a 00 CC Affinity from Lazydays, this is our first rv. We did research for about 6 months before we found this unit. We test drove Monaco, Foretravel, HR, CC, and Beaver. The first time we test drove a CC Affinity my wife did not like the IFS, so we both were surprised that she liked the handle and feel of this rv. I called the rep at Lazydays before we arrived and asked him to have the front tires inflated to the appropriate psi. The correct tire pressure made her driving experience more pleasant. We will pick the coach up in about two weeks from Lazydays after a tile in the galley has been replaced. Look forward to comments and ideas from this group in the future.

Congrats on new rig!

To make sure you have the best ride and driving, make sure that once you have loaded all your stuff into the rig you get it weighed so you have your 4 corner weights. (Truck stops, or moving companies can do this). Adjust your tire pressures for that weight. We couldn't believe the difference in the handling once we did this. Our Intrigue is a beautifully handling rig. The dealers will only put the tire pressures for what they want to...not what you NEED to have.
Good luck!

Congratulation on your coach. My wife and I also just purchased a used 2000 40' CC Allure at LazyDays two weeks ago. We take delivery of it later this week. I had them zero baseline all the scheduled maintenance items before I would take delivery of it.
So far my experience with the folks at LazyDays has been pleasant. I am still trying to decide on extended warranty and insurance coverages. The extended warranty offered was with National Warranty of Florida underwritten by Lyndon Insurance Co. Seems to be good company but I have no experience with them. Warranty covers the entire coach and chassis for and additional 5years and 60k miles for $2900. As with all extended warranties it is more peace of mind insurance instead of a sound financial decision. Do you have any knowledge of National Warranty of Florida or have better recommendations?

As far as insurance, looks like Progressive is about the most complete so far. Seems allot of variation in cost. For coverage here in Florida it varies from just over $1000 to $1700 a year. It appears to be due to who you ask. A broker or Progressive directly.
Again, I have no personal experience with this company either. Any thoughts, experience or suggestions is appreciated.

Good luck with your coach.

Check out NGIC-GMAC thru the Good Sams Club...they have the best rates and coverage, at least for Tn. Under a $1000 for $250 deductible etc...

Bought my first coach (New '98 Intrigue) from LazyDays... make sure you get it done BEFORE taking delivery.

I bought the National Warranty extended coverage.... same thoughts on peace of mind.... I had a few small claims over the 4 years that I owned the coach.... most were denied... example: they would pay for the a/c compressor but not hose connector that broke-about $200.
But had little problem getting the premium back for the unused 5th year.

Thanks for your note. Lazy Days is having to make minor adjustments to the coach. After talking with the finance and insurance people there, we went to Camping World and got quotes for insurance and extended warranty. Insurance was about $400 less per year at Camping World for same coverage. Felt the extended warranty thru Camping World (CSP Program) was comparable and less expensive and did not have mileage limitations. With CSP you sign up for 2 years and you renew yearly after that for up to 10 model years. We live in Texas & our insurance is probably more $$ than in Florida or Tennessee.
Thanks agan for the note.

I'm sorry to hear of your health issues. I have been looking for a 2000/2001 Affinity. If you have not sold it could you send me additional information on the coach--how equipped, colors, mileage etc. Also if you have any exterior and interior photos you could email. I am currently in the New England area, but have a planned trip to the Tucson area in October.

Thanks.........

I feel for you to and I can also empathise with you I got into a car accident on 8-6-2006 and sustained a compression fracture to L-1. It looks like my entire vertebre is missing. I already had 20 back operations and this accident just did me in.
I feel crazy having my 2004 Coachmen Cross Country "Sportscoach" just sits nest to the house day after day month after month. I start Ye ole Diesel pusher up every month but that is a major task for me.
I hate to get rid of the only thing I ever called my love of my life but I have too plus I have a terminal disease on top of it. I will have to let her go for at least 20 under the nada value I just cant use it no more.

Ant to think I just bought a brand new dolly just before I had the auto accident. There is only one trip on the dolly from Mia to NC to Miami and 20k on the home. I sure hate to part with her but like stocks it makes no sense to keep her.

O well. I am around coleygross@... and I belong to RV.net
